Okay I've been putting this off long enough, it's time I give my OVERALL review of Disney's Marvel Ultimate Spider-Man.  Before I start I want to say, this isn't rant, it's a review.  I'll state my opinions and if you don't agree, then that's fine, you can do your own review then.

When I first saw the teaser trailer for the series, I was mixed, and those mixed feelings would turn negative.  Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for one year now, soon which, Nick Fury Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. approaches him to join S.H.I.E.L.D. Spidey rejects the offer, until the Frightful Four give Spidey a run for his money, then he realizes maybe he does need more training so by the end of the first episode Spidey joins S.H.I.E.L.D.  Then in the second episode Spidey then has to lead four young superhero Luke Cage, Iron Fist, White Tiger and Nova, once again Spidey isn't interested, but after facing the Frightful Four again, Spidey then starts to lead and rely on them.

Okay so wear to start, first of all most of the shows faults shouldn't be on Derek Bell, while he's not the best Spider-Man, he's also not the worst though.  Apparently it might be a reason why they got him to re-dub Josh Keaton's lines on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (I'm saying it was fair though), to make Derek Bell sound like a serious Spider-Man.  It's just the tone of the shows was...  The best way I could describe it would be, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends with the style and humor of Teen Titans Go!  The Spider-Man in this show is like a autistic, idiot genius, and I find it annoying that this is the Spider-Man kids believe acts like this all the time in the comics.   I guess what's to blame is the people of the show, they failed to realize the Spider-Man they use, would reflect on what kids view Spider-Man overall in the comics.

The characters can feel so stereo typical, annoying and even at times uninteresting.  The stories themselves feel so predictable, and feels so easily resolved like if the problem was nothing at all.  I know it's only just a kid show, but I grew up watching the 90's Spider-Man, and I don't think kids today are as dumb as the networks believe.

I will be honest about one thing though, as the show progress, it slightly gets better.  In the beginning some people were complaining about the art style, so the art style slightly changed.  Next we were complaining about the constant 4th wall and childish humor, so they toned it down, slightly.  And finally we wanted Spider-Man more serious, so they made him a little more serious.

Here is my top 10 Favorite Episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man:

10) "Exclusive"
9) "Freaky"
8) "Venom"
7) "Spider-Verse" 2 arc
6) "Spider-Verse" 1 arc
5) "Spidah-Man!"
4) "The Moon Knight Before Christmas"
3) "Beetle Mania"
2) "The New Sinister Six"

And 1# is...  "Kraven the Hunter"  and here's why:

And the Worst episode would have to go to...  "Itsy Bitsy Spider-Man".

And that's my OVERALL review of Disney's Marvel Ultimate Spider-Man, I hope the next Spider-Man cartoon will actually turn out better.

Best to describe this show would be tone deaf.
