Scarlet Ray

Right now your thinking, "What the heck kind of Lantern is that?" I'll explain as best I can, this is KiteBoy1's OC Scarlet Ray a teenage superhero Lantern.  Now the first thing your wondering is, "But how can it be a superhero, it's a Red Lantern and Red Lantern's are evil!"  The difference between a Scarlet Ray and a Red Lantern is very simple, Red Lanterns are bloodthirsty and brutal death dealers. While Scarlet Ray's are practically like Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts that patrol outerspace and our helpers to the Green Lanterns. Suppose you met up with a Green Lantern. The Green Lantern takes out a beautiful red power ring, which glows with the scarlet energy of virtue. The Green Lantern would ask you to be his helper by saying this. (Heather Jordan) of the planet Earth, With this scarlet power ring of virtue, I empower you. Do you accept? And if the recipient accepts the ring, they become Scarlet Ray helpers to the Green Lantern. And that's in my DC universe. And besides, it takes a Scarlet Ray to defeat a Red Lantern because the scarlet energy of virtue can nullify the red energy of rage and hatred. It takes a Scarlet Ray to defeat a Red Lantern. And that's in my DC universe.  


And the Guardians did create the Scarlet Ray Scouts to train under and assessed the Green Lantern Corps.
In one story a red lantern ring was confiscated by the Guardians and was cleansed of all hate and rage and in fused with the power of virtue.  

One last thing, Scarlet Ray rings operate under emotional spectrum plus they also work on the virtue spectrum. Such as
Sinestra and her Tangerine Ray Scouts have orange  rings that are powered by jealousy. Not to be confused with Larfleeze's orange power ring for greed.
And Traumator's Jade Ray Scouts with their green power rings powered by malice and mischief. In my story, the Red Lantern Corps troops had stolen Green Lantern power rings from fallen members of the Green Lantern Corps. And their leader Atrocitus corrupted the Green Lantern power rings and infused them with the evil green energy of malice.
